Description:

This 5-star boutique hotel is housed in a historic building known as El Regulador.  Built in 1850 by famed architect Josep Fontserè i Domènech, the building is a fine example of Romantic Classical architecture. The building originally served as the workshop and store of Bagués Jewelers, a distinguished jeweler founded by the Masriera family that has a history dating back over 200 years and is still in operation today.

The building was carefully restored to showcase the original architectural features, including walls made from Madagascar ebony, gold leaf accents and Rimadesio doors. On display in the hotel is the Masriera Museum, which displays a collection of Art Nouveau jewels from the early 1900s.
